My name is Chrystalla Hadjiouraniou, and I am studying Fine Arts at the University of Nicosia. My inspiration mainly comes from nature and from images I encounter in my surroundings, such as flowers, the sea, water reflections, rocks, and natural textures. Through photography, I observe and document these images, which I then transform into more abstract and personal compositions.

A central element in my work is the idea of flow—the continuous sense of movement and rhythm created between forms, colors, and materials. I am interested in the way a line, a curve, or a color can guide the viewer’s eye and create the feeling that the artwork continues beyond the frame and remains in motion.

I work with bold colors and strong contrasts while experimenting with acrylics, markers, inks, and watercolors. I allow the materials to spread, blend, and interact with one another, creating unexpected forms and textures. For me, the creative process is a continuous exploration in which I leave space for flow and chance, discovering new images and ways of expressing myself through the movement and behavior of the materials.
